The line outside Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium Friday morning rivaled the queues around the country for Apple's new iPhone.
Hundreds of Baltimore Ravens fans formed a half-mile line outside the team's home stadium at 4 am to exchange their Ray Rice #27 jerseys, reported DailyMail.
The running back was suspended indefinitely after TMZ released a video of Rice knocking his then-fiancée, now wife, Janay Palmer, unconscious in the elevator of Revel Casino in Atlantic City. NFL and Ravens bosses were heavily criticized for their lax investigation of the incident.
The Ravens will allow one complimentary jersey swap per fan at the team's official store until 3pm Friday. Jersey exchanges will resume Saturday. Jerseys eligible for swap must be officially licensed by the NFL, made by Nike or Reebok, and purchased online or at the team store.
July last year, the New England Patriots also held a jersey-exchange when tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged in relation to a double murder.
