The Electronic Sports League will soon begin testing its players for performance-enhancing drugs, Motherboard reported.
The Wednesday report said the league made the decision after Kory "Semphis" Friesen, a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player, said last week he and members of his team used Adderall during the ESL's $250,000 tournament in Poland.
Adderall is a prescription drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Nevertheless, the league will not reprimand Friesen or his teammates for their admission, the report added, citing ESL Head of Communications Anna Rozwandowicz.

"We have no way of knowing whether Semphis, despite what he said, has actually taken Adderall or not," she said. "We can't punish someone if we are not 100 percent sure he is guilty. And as we have no way to test it anymore (we're four months after the event), we won't take action in this specific case."
