New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was the victim of a coordinated robbery early Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported.

Early, 24, was robbed and shot by four to six men as he was leaving the CityScapes gentlemen's club in Maspeth, Queens, with a girlfriend at 4:15 a.m., according to the newspaper. They were in an Uber cab a mile from the club before being boxed in by three other vehicles. The men approached the vehicle and forced Early from the backseat before demanding, "Give me everything you got."

"We are aware of what occurred with Cleanthony Early this morning and are relieved that he is not in a life-threatening situation," according to a statement from the Knicks. "We will not comment any further until we receive more information."
