My favorite news sites -- user controlled:

Google's Zeitgeist is based on what people are searching for on Google on a given moment in time -- Tara Conner, Miss USA 2006 (pictured, left), was searched more than anything else.

The real inside one is digg.com -- shows you what all the technorati think is cool. Some of the story choices indicate how dorky the readers are -- here are the stories that got the top number of Diggs in the past 24 hours.

Gee, and I thought that game shows were the new Reality TV:

News from ABC -- William Shatner doesn't always work. ABC just cancelled its Shatner-hosted game show, "Show me the Money" -- just after it gave it an order for additional episodes... replacing it with Christmas-themed reruns of "George Lopez" from 2003 and 2004. I can't imagine those would get decent ratings. Any bets on how much they were paying Shatner?

Box Office Boffo for Bollywood:

Bollywood is the big winner in the foreign language box office -- of the 14 foreign language films that have grossed over $2 million this year, seven have been in Hindi, with all other languages far far behind... All the more reason for BODVOD Networks to take Bollywood to VOD -- launching distribution of its Bollywood Films in Canada, also offering feature films on Google Video.
