CNBC Launches New Web Site and Teletext Service

CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European, real-time business and financial news channel, has launched a new website and Teletext service today, incorporating a range of new and exciting content services.

The site, www.cnbceurope.com and CNBC Europe's Teletext now has brand new content including:

  • New section for price data for all major European markets
  • Key currency data
  • Latest economic data including GDP and employment statistics provided by Thomson Financial
  • New company profiles section, provided by Thomson One Analytics, giving one-page summaries of the companies appearing on the channel each day.
  • Bespoke 60-90 second market update video clips recorded specially for the web service by CNBC Europe reporters
  • Live audiostream of CNBC Europe's daily business coverage

There will also be, a section dedicated to live business news, provided by Dow Jones & Company for the first time. This will include:

  • English-language news feeds covering Europe, the USA and the Asia Pacific region
  • Hourly news highlights, with the top business stories of the day
  • Local language, local-market business news in German, French, Italian and Spanish

The services also include CNBC Europe's TV programme schedule and a daily 'Guest Alert' providing users with up to date information on guests appearing on the channel each day.

The hosting and management of the services is in partnership with IBN Ltd, a joint venture between Data Design and Bluestar Communications.

Alongside enhanced online advertising opportunities for CNBC Europe's clients, the services now include a classified Business Directory with special country and industry reports, which is managed by IBN. A Sports News service is shortly to be added by IBN.
