Institutional Shareholder Services, the firm that advises institutions on shareholder votes, is making some recommendations.
On Biogen Idec , currently in a dispute with corporate shareholder activist Carl Icahn, ISS is recommending against voting for a dissident slate. ISS will also be involved in making a recommendation on Yahoo where Carl Icahn is also agitating for a reexamination of a deal with Microsoft .
In the meantime, ISS can also be expected to make a recommendation in a CSX proxy fight before the railroad's shareholder meeting.
