Campus Cribs: Better to Buy?
With back-to-school season creeping up on us, parents sending their kids off to college for the first time have a relatively new question to ask themselves: with housing prices so soft in much of the country, does it make more financial sense to buy a place instead of shelling out the traditional room and board for a dorm or the rent for an off-campus apartment?
On Thursday's Power Lunch, Carmen said it all comes down to geography. Where the school is located will determine the return on the investment in a house or apartment. Watch the video to see which collegiate markets she thinks are ripe for a down payment.
