New CNBC Series Gets Personal with Global Iconic Business Leaders

LONDON, 7 April 2011 - CNBC, the world’s leading business and financial news channel, will launch next week the first in a new series of programmes profiling some of the world’s most successful business people. Called CNBC Meets… each half-hour programme, hosted by CNBC guest presenter Tania Bryer, will get ‘up close and personal’ with its interviewees.

Tania Bryer, who also is executive producer of the show, will go face-to-face with the world’s most influential high flyers and ask the questions about their business, their home life and their commitments to philanthropy.

CNBC Meets… launches with a very personal interview with Tamara Mellon, Founder of the Jimmy Choo empire, on Wednesday 13th April at 22.00 UK/ 23.00 CET with repeats at the weekend.

Tania Bryer has been given unrivalled access to Tamara Mellon and talks with her about how she turned Jimmy Choo in to a multi-million dollar company, with stores all over the world. She finds out what makes her tick; the motivation behind her success; and importantly how her philanthropy has transformed and saved lives. Filmed on location in Tamara Mellon’s New York apartment, in her own private wardrobe and at some of her New York and London stores, the programme’s unprecedented candour gives viewers insight into Tamara Mellon’s personal life and how she achieved global success.
