CNN trying to lure Fox News' Megyn Kelly, says Drudge Report

CNN is looking to hire star Fox News anchor, Megyn Kelly, according to a report.

Sources told Drudge Report that CNN President Jeff Zucker was talking to Kelly and offering her a potential show on his network. However, the site said Zucker could not match the $20 million a year Fox News was reportedly offering to keep her on its airwaves.

CNN and Fox News did not respond to requests for comment. A representative for Kelly declined to comment.

Kelly, whose contract was set to expire after the election, currently hosts "The Kelly File" on Fox News. She previously hosted "America Live" and co-hosted "America's Newsroom" with Bill Hemmer.

Kelly made national headlines as the co-moderator of the first GOP debate in August 2015, where she directly challenged president-elect Donald Trump's treatment of women. Trump accused her of being biased, leading to an on-going battle between the two. They eventually sat down for a highly promoted television interview on May 17.
