Boston, Sept 11- EMC Corp plans to keep its majority stake in software maker VMware Inc despite pressure from activist hedge fund Elliott Management, a person familiar with EMC's thinking told Reuters on Thursday.
Sept 11- Data storage products maker EMC Corp has decided to explore selling its stake in its software unit, VMware Inc, giving into pressure from Paul Singer- run activist hedge fund Elliott Management Corp, the New York Post reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
