Arcelor Mittal Buys Sicartsa for $1.44 Billion

Arcelor Mittal said on Wednesday it will acquire Sicartsa, a Mexican intergraded steel producer, from Mexican steel maker Grupo Villacero for $1.439 billion.

The two companies will also create a 50-50 joint-venture in Mexico and the southern United States, Arcelor Mittal, the world's leading steel maker said in a statement.
