Europe's Biggest Movers

Here are today’s highest and lowest performers trading on the European stock exchange: Bwin Interactive Entertainment,International Power, Novartis, Telekom Austria and Lagardere.

Bwin Interactive Entertainment (up 8%) Europe’s highest court ruled that Italy can’t use criminal law to stop gaming companies licensed in other EU nations from taking bets in the country. Shares of the Austrian Web bookmaker climbed after the decision.

International Power (up 6.88%) U.K.-based independent power producer International Power pre-tax full-year profit rose 57%, boosted by acquisitions and improved performance in the U.S. and Europe. 

Novartis (up 4.86%) Novartis shares traded higher as the Swiss drugs group received U.S. approval for a new treatment for high blood pressure.

Telekom Austria (down 1.98%) WestLB cuts Telekom Austria target to 20 euros from 22 euros saying fourth-quarter results came in below the bank's expectations.

Lagardere (down 1.30%) Shares traded lower as on-going arguments continue between France and Germany over the ownership structure of plane-maker, Airbus.
