DaimlerChrysler (up 4.47%) There is speculation the German automaker will make a statement on the possible sale of Chrysler.
Pearson (up 4.21%) British education group Pearson teamed up with Google Video to offer educational video content.
Ahold (up 3.53%) Merrill Lynch increased its rating on the Dutch retailer to “buy” from “neutral” on Friday, a day after the company reported higher-than-expected fourth-quarter results.
UCB (down 4.78%) The pharmaceutical company announced possible delays for a potential blockbuster drug.
Bulgari (down 3.71%) Deutsche Bank and Exane BNP Paribas cut their ratings of the Italian jeweller, a day after the company reported a 15% rise in 2006 net profit.
E.On (down 1.29%) Italy’s Enel and Spanish construction group Acciona reported plans to top the German company’s bid for Spanish utility Endesa.
