Fast Money Madness: BHP Billiton vs. Deere

Tonight, the final match up in the commodities and industrial region.

So far Berkshire, Apple, and Altria are all headed to the final four. Who will join them? Will it be BHP Billiton (BHP) or Deere (DE)? The guys will decide, but first we take a look back at how they got here :

BHP BILLITON’S PRIOR MATCH-UPS:

Round 1:

BHP Billiton vs. Boeing (BA) Dylan said BHP defeating Boeing in the 1st round. It’s an outrage!

Round 2:

BHP Billiton vs. Dupont (DD) Guy Adami said BHP Billiton is the 2nd largest copper producer, 3rd largest Nickel, 4th largest Uranium. There’s a $10 billion stock buyback, what else do you want. Eric Bolling said  BHP mostly a uranium play. Dylan concluded with And BHP advances. I've got to go with the experts. It's what they do for a living.

Sweet 16:

BHP Billiton vs. Nucor (NUE) Jeff Macke said  BHP is expanding iron ore operations in Australia today. BHP all the way. Tim Strazzini said I agree it's BHP. They have the diversification, It's not just in the steel play. Dylan said BHP Advances.

DEERE & CO.'S PRIOR MATCH-UPS:

Round 1

Deere & Co. vs. PetroChina (PTR) Dylan said America, represented by red, white, and blue, along with green and yellow. Deere & Co knocking off Petrochina.

Round 2:

Deere & Co. vs Schlumberger (SLB) Dylan said in the upset of the day 7th seed Deere, and the All-American shocked the #2 seed Schlumberger

Sweet 16

Deere & Co. vs Valero (VLO) Jeff Macke said Deere has more in front of it than Valero. I want to own Deere. Guy Adami said  John Deere has farmer profitability. They're going to buy a lot of machines this summer. Dylan said  I love a green tractor. Deere advances.

TONIGHT’S MATCH-UP:  BHP Billiton (BHP) vs Deere (DE)

Eric Bolling says you can’t compete with a major producer of iron ore, uranium, coal and he picks BHP.

Guy Adami says Deere stock is up almost 3% despite a very negative article in today’s WSJ.  His vote goes to DE.

Tim Strazzini likes BHP because of the upside on copper prices.

Tim Strazzini goes for the agriculture play and casts his vote for Deere.

In a tie The Commissioner decides and Dylan Ratigan goes with BHP.
