The Fast Money Misfires

Guy Adami

On June 15th The Negotiator reaffirmed his recommendation on retailer Citi Trends (CTRN). He said “It's trading $42.5 right now. Probably has room to $45.  Still a huge short interest.  Hope you got with it.  Stay in it if you did."

But since then - shares are off about 9%

Today Guy says he still likes this name.

Pete Najarian

On June 4th The Pitt Boss recommended checking into Starwood (HOT) on hopes of a buyout. He said, (Options on this stock) were extremely active. There were takeover rumors…Something is going on in this industry, I’m not sure what-  but somebody will be in play."

Since that time shares of HOT have been rather cold - off 6% as no buyout ever materialized.

Today Pete says get out of Starwood.

Jeff Macke

On June 5th, The Lone Wolf went for kid's retailer, Children’s Place (PLCE).

He said (the company) benefits from a heavy line up of the Pirates of the Caribbean product lines. I think you get long."

But "Pirates " couldn't keep shares afloat...the stock is down 7% after failing to file a 10-q in the midst of an options practices review.

Today Jeff Macke says get out of this stock. And get out of most retailers over the course of the Summer.

Eric Bolling

On June 15th The Admiral went for a gambling play, Trump International Resorts (TRMP). He said “Keep your eye on Trump. He may just get bought.”

But a deal wasn't in the cards. The casino operator said yesterday it failed to find a buyer after a 3-month search, sending shares down more than 15%.

Today Eric says Trump still might get bought. However, he thinks the buy is Penn National Gaming (PENN).
