Tech Leads S&P 500 into Positive Territory

As oil falls again, the S&P 500 has moved further into positive territory led by tech giants Cisco, Microsoft, Apple, Oracle and Google.  The gains are contributing to the tech heavy Nasdaq which is up over 31 points, or 1.3%. 

Here's what they are contributing to the S&P. 

Cisco

  • Adding ~.98 points to the S&P
  • Up nearly 6% - it's biggest one day move in a year

Microsoft

  • Adding ~.91 points to the S&P
  • Up nearly 3% - its second 3% day in a row and fourth 3% move in a month

Apple

  • Adding ~.39 points to the S&P
  • Up over 2% - its second 2% day in a row and sixth 2% gain since the July 1

Oracle

  • Adding ~.30 points to the S&P
  • Up 2.4% - its second 2.4+% day in a row and third 2.4+% gain since the July 1

Google

  • Adding ~.30 points to the S&P
  • Up 1.6% - its second 1.6+% day in a row and ninth 1.5+% gain since the July 1

The S&P 500 is a Market Cap weighted index so the larger companies influence its movement more.
