1. Knowledge is power. Study your market in detail so that you can assess an offer being made to you or an offer you are planning to make.
2. It sounds crazy, but it’s true. If you are a seller, know how your house smells. The smell of a home is an important subliminal message that you’re sending to potential buyers. It helps to have a housing smelling of familiar homey scents such as apple pie, cookies or vanilla. People will notice even if they don’t know they do.
3. If a broker is selling your house, don't be home during the showing. Buyers are more comfortable roaming around the home without interference and thus more likely to seriously consider the property.
