Tiger Woods Foundation Pulls Stanford Logo from Site

The Web site connected to the foundation of the world's best golfer has pulled the logo of Stanford Financial off its site.

The troubled company was previously listed as a platinum partner of the Tiger Woods Foundation, along with eight other companies including Target, Bank of America, Bearing Point, CDW, Gatorade and CVS Caremark, among others.

Woods' agent Mark Steinberg could not immediately be reached for comment.

When Woods announced his return to golf two weeks ago, he acknowledged the relationship with Stanford, but declined to give any more details as to the nature of the company's involvement with his foundation.

Stanford is not up to date on payments to the golfers it endorses, including Camilo Villegas, Morgan Pressel and Vijay Singh. As of Tuesday afternoon, only Singh is still planning on continuing to wear the Stanford Financial logo.

Though he has not been charged by the U.S. Justice Department, Stanford chief executive Allen Stanford has been accused by the Securities and Exchange Commission of committing fraud by bilking investors. Federal agents shut down Stanford's operations last month.
