Howard Could Replace LeBron in Vitaminwater Spots

With the Orlando Magic winning Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, sports fans have come to understand that it is mathematically possible that the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James won’t make it to the title matchup.

And that means that this whole Kobe vs. LeBron blowout that Coke’sVitaminwater has been doing might go the way of Dan and Dave.

Dan O’Brien of course didn’t make the Olympic team, spoiling Reebok’s campaign of the debate over the “World’s Greatest Athlete.” But perhaps the most interesting part about the whole thing was that Reebok actually had the guy who went on to win the decathlon gold that year, Robert Zmelik of Czechoslovakia, but didn’t put him in any of its ads.

Fortunately, thanks to technology and the ability to immediately self-post new creative on YouTube and a variety of other sites, Vitaminwater will be able to change up their campaign if the Finals feature the Los Angeles Lakers against the Orlando Magic instead.

You see, Vitaminwater also has Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard on its roster.

"Kobe vs. Dwight" doesn't have the same sort of ring to it, but it will be pretty impressive if the Cavs do go down, if the Coke brand can mobilize to put Howard in the rotation.
