Over the past decade, I've seen way too much game-worn memorabilia hit the market.
That translates into these items having very little value.
But I was floored last night by the shirts I saw hit the market. Upper Deck is actually offering Tiger Woods' first, second and third round polos from the 2008 U.S. Open. Woods' first round shirt is selling for $30,000.
His second round shirt is $40,000.
And his third round shirt is going for $50,000.
I'm a bit confused as to why Upper Deck is selling these for a straight up price as I think an auction, even in this economy, might be able to raise more money.
There's also the thinking, however, that the two most valuable shirts - the Woods red shirt from Sunday and the shirt from the playoff against Rocco Mediate - are not available.
Here's a video of Woods signing the three shirts.
