Calls Of The Day: American Express, Las Vegas Sands...

Find out what top analysts are saying about American Express, Las Vegas Sands and more. How should you be positioned, now?

What should you make of it?

American Express

Citi reiterated its 'Buy' rating on American Express calling the stock a “top pick” and they raised their price target for AXP from $48 to $51.

Citi analyst Donald Fandetti said, "Better-than-expected global spending in Q1 and 2010 will drive AXP shares higher, in our view.”

”We also expect the large banks to strike a more positive tone around their card business as they report Q1 earnings, potentially boosting the shares.”

What should you make of it?

I also like AXP, says Karen Finerman. It’s a good solid company and the valuation isn’t crazy.

MGM, Las Vegas Sands

JPMorgan raised its target for Las Vegas Sands to $29 from $23 citing better occupancy rates.

Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs raised MGM's price target to $17.50 from $14.50 and reaffirmed a "Buy" rating.

What should you make of it?

I think JPMorgan has a very aggressive price target on LVS, says Guy Adami on the Halftime Report. I find it hard to get long in LVS at these levels.
