Horner Launches First Ad Campaign

ST. PAUL, Minn., May 10, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Independence Party gubernatorial candidate Tom Horner will launch his campaign's first advertisements this Tuesday. The radio ads will start Tuesday and be complemented by online ads. The Horner advertising will cost about $30,000 a week.

The ads introduce Horner to voters, informing Minnesotans that Horner is the independent-thinking centrist in the gubernatorial race. The ads also cite Horner's business background.

"Minnesotans are dissatisfied with the candidates coming from the extreme right and left. The polarization will be on full display at the Legislature this week," said Horner. "These spots introduce me to Minnesotans, let voters know that there is an alternative to the extremes and that there is a candidate who is committed to doing what's right, not fighting over who's right." The ads will air on WCCO-AM and KSTP-AM in the Twin Cities market and in major markets elsewhere in Minnesota. The online ads will be on MinnPost and Politics in Minnesota. The spots were created by Fresh Thinking, a collaborative of longtime Twin Cities advertising professionals organized specifically to create ads for the Horner campaign.
