United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Javier Palomarez Receives Hispanic Business Vision and Leadership Award

WASHINGTON, May 10, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Javier Palomarez, president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) was awarded The Hispanic Business Vision and Leadership Award by the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce of Rhode Island (HACCRI) at the organization's 10th Year Anniversary Awards Gala at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence on May 4th.

Juana Horton, HACCRI Chairwoman remarked: "Mr. Palomarez has demonstrated a true commitment as the new leader of the USHCC to engage with the Hispanic business community, chamber by chamber. He brings a fresh and welcome energy to the position, and we in Rhode Island are excited and encouraged by his humble and collaborative style." The Awards Gala drew over 300 people including state and local government officials, as well as prominent business and community leaders.

Palomarez also served as keynote speaker at the event, providing remarks about the importance of the Hispanic Chambers of Commerce to their communities and the key role they play in helping businesses, particularly during difficult economic times. "We are also thankful for the collaboration and support of partners such as CVS, Bank of America and Verizon, who help our chambers provide many of the programs that would otherwise not be possible," added Javier Palomarez.
