CNBC Broadcasts LIVE from New Studio at Singapore Exchange with Revamped Morning Programming Line-up

Singapore, 14 June 2010 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, and Singapore Exchange (SGX) jointly announce the official launch of CNBC’s new primary studio facility at SGX.  The new studio begins operations today on the second floor of SGX Centre 1 in Shenton Way, the heart of Singapore’s financial district. To coincide with the unveiling of the new studio, CNBC Asia is introducing a new morning programming line-up.

“Business news is going through an era of unprecedented importance and complexity so it's important we innovate our story-telling capabilities to continue delivering clear, real-time coverage,” said John Casey, Vice President of News and Programming, CNBC Asia Pacific. “That's what this move is about. The state-of-the-art studio we've created to broadcast live from SGX not only enhances our ability for dynamic discussion and instant analysis, it also incorporates exciting new tools that will enable us to make sense of even the most complex stories.”

The new look includes visual enhancements such as touch screens, video walls and tickers providing real-time market data that frames the new studio space at SGX.  Along with the new studio comes an enhanced line-up which includes an earlier and more dynamic three-hour Squawk Box Asia from 6am, a brand new one-hour programme, The Call, an updated two-hour programme, Cash Flow from Australia and a fresh approach to Capital Connection with the introduction of a new bureau in Bahrain.
