Tuesday's bell ringer caught our attention: Barclay's ETN + Inverse S&P VIX Short-Term Futures ETN.

It's a doozy of a name, and it's one of the newest product offerings coming from Wall Street. There's also a lithium ETF soon to be released, along with an ETF that tracks rare metals such as gallium and selenium, and still another that follows small cap companies in Thailand.

Should average investors be afraid of these latest products being pushed by Wall Street?
