Irina Shabayeva: Taking Off After Project Runway

Season Six "Project Runway" winner Irina Shabayeva has been busy since her 2008 crowning.  Not only has she debuted her Fall 2011 collection at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but she's also been working on recent projects such as developing a capsule collection for Macy's and designing one-of-a-kind dresses for Campbell's Soup.

Macy's INC International Concepts

As if a Lincoln Center debut isn't enough to keep Shabayeva busy, the designer revealed her Macy's INC International Concepts capsule collection of 13 looks including footwear less than a month ago. The collection is expected to appear in 50 Macy's stores and on its Web site on Feb. 19.

Last-Minute Touches

In a workroom on 38th Street in New York's Fashion District, Shabayeva's team works two days prior to the Lincoln Center debut to put the last-minute touches on the garments.

Shabayeva pins a gold cocktail dress with Swarovski crystal detailing on a model for tailoring.  Shabayeva is known for her well-tailored designs that accentuate the body.

Before the show, Shabayeva has to make sure every detail is taken care of including hair, makeup and nails to complete her collection's overall look.  This model shows of her manicure done by Creative Nail Design.

Getting Dressed Backstage
