Biggest Market Drops in History

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its ninth-largest point drop in history, only two days after falling 634.76 points.

The S&P 500 had its twenty-first worst point drop, while the NASDAQ's 101.47-point decline did not rank within the top 30.  

Here is a look at the biggest point losses ever.  Keep in mind that the largest one-day percent drop in the Dow's history was 22.6 percent in October 1987.
