On Feb. 12, “The Negotiator” selected Georgia Gulf after a huge sell-off, believing that the chemicals manufacturer’s stock price had bottomed. “Out of all the chemicals out there, I think the most actionable today, even given the move we saw today, might be GGC,” he said.
Sure enough, shares in Georgia Gulf surged 35 percent to the $33 level after Westlake Chemical made a $1 billion unsolicited bid for the company.
