Yahoo - The Internet company named Ken Goldman CFOeffective October 22. Goldman succeeds Tim Morse, who has been with the company since June 2009. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Jabil Circuit -The electronic manufacturing services provider posted earnings of 54 cents a share, excluding one-time items, on revenue of $4.34 billion. Analysts expected the company to post earnings of 58 cents a share on sales of $4.22 billion. In addition, the company handed in current-quarter outlook that missed expectations, sending shares lower in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

IBM - The tech giant elected CEO Virginia Rometty to Chairman. Rometty succeeds Samuel Palmisano, who is stepping down from the board effective October 1, 2012. IBM shares edged higher in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Microsoft - Intel CEO Paul Otellini told employees in Taiwan that Microsoft's Windows 8 OS is being released before it’s fully ready, according to a Bloomberg report, citing a person who attended the company event. Microsoft edged lower in extended-hours trading.

“With over 16 million active preview participants, Windows 8 is the most tested, reviewed and ready operating system in Microsoft’s history," wrote Microsoft's spokesperson in an e-mail to CNBC. "We’re looking forward to making Windows 8 available to the world on October 26.” (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Quest Software - The software company's shareholders approved the acquisition by Dell . The transaction was first announced in early July. (Click here for after-hours quotes.)
