Stocks to Ward Off China Slowdown: Pros

Worries about an economic slowdown in China are overblown, meaning these stocks have plenty of upside left, the CNBC “Fast Money” pros said on Friday.

Drakon Capital’s Guy Adami said that China Mobile appeared to be impervious to economic troubles.

“Even if you see a slowdown there, the growth in the handsets” gives this stock substantial upside momentum, he said.

OptionMonster.com’s Pete Najarian said that Starbucks was his top China play, based on same-store sales and the coffee behemoth’s exposure.

“I think that wins when you talk about China,” he said.

OptionMonster.com’s Jon “Dr. J” Najarian said that he liked mining play BHP Billiton, although Yum Brands and Starbucks were among the most attractive.

“I think these guys have massive penetration there,” he said.

Rosecliff Capital’s Mike Murphy’s top pick: Cummins.

“This stock trades with China a lot,” he said, adding another plus: “They don’t have the same exposure to commodities as Caterpillar.”
