Chiropractic Physicians Encourage Public to Aim for Optimal Health

October is National Chiropractic Health Month: Find Your Game!

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and chiropractic physicians nationwide are raising public awareness this month about how everyone can take steps toward optimal health, wellness and functioning during National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM).

This year’s campaign—“Discover Chiropractic: Find Your Game!”—focuses on ways people can feel their best every day, regardless of age, occupation or fitness level. As part of the observance, ACA offers a web site, www.ChiroHealthy.com, with information for the public on how chiropractic services fit into a healthy lifestyle and simple steps they can take to enhance their health today.

People have a wide range of health goals, from walking the dog without pain, to running a 5K race to managing pain or a health condition. The good news is that better health and wellness are possible with just a few healthy lifestyle changes. Chiropractic physicians can offer help by providing nutritional advice, exercise and lifestyle recommendations and natural approaches to managing injuries, aches and pains for those who don’t know where to start.

“While there are no quick fixes for better health, everyone—from executives, to grandparents, to triathletes—can enhance their well-being by working healthier habits into their daily lives,” said ACA President Keith Overland, DC. “That’s where chiropractic physicians come in; we offer expert health care to get patients ready for the game, and then tools and guidance to keep patients in the game—whatever that means for them—for the rest of their lives.”

Sponsored by ACA, National Chiropractic Health Month is a nationwide observance held each October. The event helps raise public awareness of the benefits of chiropractic care and its natural, whole-person, patient-centered approach to health and wellness.

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA), based in Arlington, Va., is the largest professional association in the United States representing doctors of chiropractic. ACA promotes the highest standards of patient care and ethics, and supports research, legislation, insurance reforms, and public awareness activities that contribute to the health and well-being of millions of chiropractic patients.
