CEZ says no need to alter settlement offer in EU investigation

PRAGUE, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Czech electricity producer CEZ

said on Monday a market-test procedure to evaluateits settlement offer to end an EU investigation showed no needfor material changes in the plan.

CEZ has offered to sell some 800 megawatt worth of capacityto settle the investigation into whether it created barriers toentry into the energy market.

"The comments received by the European Commission fromvarious corporations as part of its market test, which we haveavailable now, will not affect our commitments we have proposedand presented to the European Commission," Sales Director AlanSvoboda said in a statement.

CEZ said it expected the Commission to make a decision inthe case in late November.
