SBA Business Recovery Centers Closing October 11; Submit Your Disaster Loan Application Electronically For Quicker Decision

ATLANTA, Oct. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that their Business Recovery Centers at the following locations in Mississippi will cease operations at the close of business Thursday, Oct. 11:

Homeowners, renters and businesses are encouraged to submit their SBA disaster loan application for their uninsured losses as soon as possible in order to meet the Oct. 31 filing deadline for physical losses. 

The easiest way to file an application for SBA disaster assistance is to complete the application on-line. The process is a user-friendly way for homeowners, renters and businesses to apply for a disaster loan for Hurricane Isaac damages.  The online program checks for errors, prompts for more information when needed and provides a quicker decision than the hand-written applications.  Visit to apply online.

Interest rates are as low as 1.688 percent for homeowners and renters, 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses with terms up to 30 years.  The SBA sets loan amounts and terms based on each applicant's financial condition.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical damage is October 31, 2012.  The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 30, 2013.
