BALTIMORE, Oct. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin & White, one of Maryland's leading law firms, is pleased to announce that three new attorneys and a partner have been added to the firm.  Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin & White, a firm of thirty veteran trial and appellate attorneys representing clients in all aspects of civil and criminal litigation in both state and federal courts, is known nationwide for successful litigation of complex and high profile cases.

Mr. Closius, the former Dean of the University of Baltimore School of Law, will serve as an advisor to the firm. A constitutional law professor, Mr. Closius will be a key advisor to Silverman Thompson's appellate and constitutional law practice groups, one of the mid-Atlantic's leading appellate practices.

Ms. McKenna, a national leader in Internet and Internet privacy law, is joining the firm as a Partner and will continue to focus her practice in complex civil litigation and significant exposure cases throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia, with a special emphasis on Internet and digital privacy issues.  Prior to joining STSW, Ms. McKenna was a principal with Toomey McKenna.  Ms. McKenna has co-authored multiple legal treatises, all of which have been cited by numerous federal and state courts, including Wiretapping & Eavesdropping: Surveillance in the Internet Age, 3rd Ed.  She lectures regularly and makes frequent Media Appearances on the subjects of Internet and Cellular privacy. She is an Adjunct Professor at Catholic University of America, where she teaches privacy, surveillance and media law.

Mr. Kelly will continue to focus his practice in the area of victim's rights and catastrophic injury litigation.  Prior to joining STSW, Mr. Kelly received considerable litigation experience trying cases in both the state and federal courts at Miles & Stockbridge, P.C.

Ms. Lauenstein will continue to represent individuals and entities in criminal defense matters.  Ms. Lauenstein is a former Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore County who tried hundreds of criminal cases.
