David Bonderman, the founding partner of TPG Capital, may not be a Japan skeptic on the level of Kyle Bass. But he's definitely not enthusiastic about the long-term prospects for that nation's economy.
"I think Japan is one of the most challenged places on the globe," Bonderman said. "There's no culture of personal responsibility; there's no culture of corporate responsibility. Guys get indicted and run the company from jail. Pretty soon everyone will be older than me. Over time, I hate the place."
China, however, is "oversold," he added.
