As part of an ongoing McDonald's menu shake-up, the fast-food chain will add steak to its list of meaty breakfast ingredients, according to a report.
McDonald's began rolling out the item across the U.S. last month, and it will eventually be available in about 9,600 of the company's more than 14,100 U.S. locations, Bloomberg reported. To read the full report, click here.

The move comes as the company battles tepid sales with new items like Mighty Wings. On Tuesday, the company said U.S. same-restaurant sales rose 0.2 percent. Analysts had expected same-restaurant sales in the region to rise 0.8 percent.
The world's biggest fast-food chain is fighting to boost sales as smaller U.S. rivals Wendy's and Burger King Worldwide launch attractive promotions and attention-grabbing food such as bacon sundaes.
