Tesla Motors - Shares of the electric-car company continued to rise in after-hours trade after CEO Elon Musk said the company was taking steps, including higher ground clearance, as a result of battery-related fires in its Model S autos. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is probing the blazes.
Devon Energy - The company is close to a deal to buy privately held GeoSouthern Energy for about $6 billion, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.
La-Z-Boy - The company known for its reclining chairs posted earnings per share of 30 cents, excluding items, on revenue of $366 million, beating estimates calling for earnings of 26 cents on revenue of $349 million. The company also hiked its quarterly dividend by 50 percent to six cents a share. Its shares rallied 5.5 percent in after-hours trading.
JPMorgan Chase - Shares of the Dow component slid in extended-hours trade in the wake of its record $13 billion settlement with state and government authorities to resolve claims over the bank's sales of mortgage-backed securities during the housing crisis.
