After-hours buzz: Nike, Red Hat & Tibco Software

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Thursday:

Nike - The athletic-shoe seller posted second-quarter earnings per share of 59 cents on $6.4 billion in revenue. Analysts had estimated earnings per share of 58 cents on sales of $6.4 billion. Its shares edged lower in extended-hours trading.

Red Hat - The distributor of the Linux operating system reported quarterly earnings per share of 27 cents on revenue of $397 million, Analysts had estimated earnings per share of 35 cents on revenue of $383 million. Its shares jumped in after-hours trading.

Tibco Software - The company posted earnings per share of 42 cents on $316 in revenue. Analysts had estimated earnings per share of 39 cents on $312 million in revenue. Its shares fell 1.6 percent in after-hours trading.
