Baby boomers, hipsters prefer glamorous camping or 'glamping'

So-called glamping—which features roomy canvas tents, mattresses and overhead lighting—is available at more outdoor venues, and small businesses behind the trend are growing.

For example, Buffalo, N.Y.-based start-up Contentment Camping specializes in luxury tent rentals for weddings, private events and festivals, CNNMoney.com reports.

Beyond baby boomers with sore backs, glamping appeals to those under 35, who attend hip outdoor music festivals but prefer to sleep in air-conditioned luxury tents. Prices range from under $100 for a single night with a cot, to around $1,000 for four nights with a queen bed.
