Gov. Walker slams funding allegations: 'Case over'

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Friday firmly denounced reports of his involvement in a "criminal" fundraising scheme, saying an investigation of his fundraising practices had already been resolved, Time magazine reports.

"No charges—case over," he told Fox News.

Court documents released Thursday alleged that Walker coordinated fundraising activity with outside conservative groups during a recall election, Time wrote. Walker and members of his staff have not been charged or formally accused of misconduct.

Walker on Friday vowed to counter what he deemed partisan attacks aimed at the Republican party.

"This is a prime example of what happens when you take on big government special interests," he told Fox News. "They're looking for ways to come at us. They'll continue to do it."
