GM announced six new recalls on June 30, affecting 8.4 million vehicles from 1997-2014.
GM also said it would take a charge of up to $1.2 billion in the second quarter for recall-related repairs.

Cadillac CTS
The 2013 and 2014 Cadillac CTS were part of a group of more than 616,000 cars recalled due to unintended rotation of the ignition key.
Pontiac Grand Am
Pontiac Grand Am cars from 1999 to 2005 were part of another batch of recalls due to unintended rotation of the ignition key, covering 7.6 million cars.
Buick Encore
The 2013 and 2014 Buick Encore were part of a group of cars recalled due to potential damage to the engine block heater power cord.
Chevy Camaro
The 2014 Camaro was part of a group recalled because a particular joint fastener was not tightened to specifications at the factory.
Chevy Impala
The 2014 Impala was also part of the group recalled due to the joint fastener issue.
