Vizio recalls 245,000 TVs at risk of tipping over

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

Vizio is recalling 245,000 televisions due to a failing stand assembly that could cause the TV to tip over, posing a risk of impact injury to owners, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves Vizio E-series 39- and 42-inch Full-Array LED flat panel televisions.

Fifty-one incidents of the TVs tipping over have been reported so far, but no injuries in relation to the recall have occurred.

Vizio is asking for those affected to immediately detach the televisions from their stands until the company can supply them with a replacement.
