Apple held a much anticipated event on Tuesday, where the company revealed several new products, including the Apple Watch, an updated iPhone model, and entirely new product line for the company.

Apple did not hold its event at San Francisco's Moscone Center this year, instead choosing a place in Cupertino where Steve Jobs introduced the first Mac computer 25 years ago. Apple reportedly barricaded the venue to conceal the build-out from curious eyes and smartphone cameras.

Tim Cook took the stage to introduce the event.

The new iPhone 6 was the first product in focus. Both the iPhone 6 and the slightly larger 6 Plus have processors that perform 50 times faster than the original iPhone models, according to the company. They will be available for pre-order on Sept. 12 and in stores on Sept. 19.

These are the thinnest and tallest iPhones ever released. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch display.

Apple's iOS health app tracks how many steps you take, stairs you climb, and will be open to third-party developers. It will now be a standard feature on iOS devices.

This is a rendering of the camera on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It has an 8 megapixel iSight camera, 1.5µ pixels, ƒ/2.2 aperture. It can take 10 photos per second, can detect when people in pictures smile and blink and can keep faces in focus even when they are at different distances. The new video feature can keep auto-focus in real time, take time lapse video, and has a steady-cam function.

Apple is developing an entirely new product line around the concept of mobile, device based wallets. It has cooperation from major credit card companies, as well as online and traditional retailers.

The Apple Watch was the final product announced.

It comes in two sizes to fit different wrists, and is offered in three styles with slightly unique features. There is a standard watch, Sport edition that is a bit lighter and made of stronger materials, and an 18-karat gold version. It will be available early next year, with prices starting at $349.

The side of the watch has a "digital crown," which allows the user to magnify images, scroll through menus and adjust settings without touching the relatively small screen. It also has sensors on the underside to measure pulse and activity level.

Apple closed the event with a performance from U2, and announced the company will give 500 million people a copy of U2's new album, for free.
