After-hours buzz: Jabil, Tibco, Apple & more

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Wednesday:

Jabil Circuit - The electronics designer's shares jumped in heavy volume trading after posting fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of 5 cents per share on $4.06 billion in revenue. Analysts had expected the firm's earnings to break even and report $3.83 billion in sales. The stock gained about 6 percent in extended trading before easing.

Tibco - Vista Equity Partners and Thoma Bravo are among a group of firms competing to acquire the business software maker and take it private, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. Shares of the company were up about 1 percent in after-hours trading.

Apple - The tech behemoth removed its iOS 8.0.1 software update after some customers said they experienced cellular connectivity loss after downloading the update. Shares were flat after the bell, having dipped about 1 percent earlier, when the news broke.

H.B. Fuller - The specialty adhesive producer plunged in extended-hours trading after it handed in weak third-quarter results. The company earned 42 cents per share on $527 million in revenue, widely missing Wall Street expectations for 76 cents per share on $540 million in sales. The stock fell more than 9 percent after the announcement.

Citizens Financial - The stock turned lower in extended trading after closing up 7 percent during its first day on the U.S. markets. The lender was valued at about $13 billion, marking the biggest U.S. bank IPO since the financial crisis.
