The ZTE ZMAX phablet aims to separate itself from Apple's iPhone 6 Plus by featuring a bigger screen at a cheaper price.
The device, for $252, has a 5.7-inch HD display and became available off-contract on T-Mobile on Sept. 24. The iPhone 6 Plus with a 5.5-inch display is priced at $299 with a contract.
The ZMAX's simple design with round sides isn't exactly unique, but it is sturdy and sleek.
The device runs on an Android operating system and includes 16 gigabytes of internal storage space.
In terms of battery life, it carries a 3,400-milliamp-hour battery which beats Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, which has a 3,220-mAh unit.
