First came the jet set—now comes the jumbo-jet set.

The Boeing Company's Boeing Business Jets unit said that orders for its giant commercial jets that are converted into use for private travel have hit the double digits this year, the first time they've done so since 2008, according to an article in Elite Traveler.

Boeing Business Jets sells aircraft designed to seat hundreds of passengers and converts them into "VIP configurations specifically for elite travelers," according to the article. Of the 10 orders this year, three were for 777-300ERs, planes that usually carry up to 400 passengers. Or in this case, a few very rich travelers.

The company has also had two orders for the BBJ Max 8, a 737 with a range of 6,550 nautical miles. With 26 percent more cabin space, the plane has an "extra room to use however you wish," Stephen Taylor, president of BBJ, told the publication.

Put another way, when you have your own jumbo jet, the sky's the limit.
