Flushed with ideas, toilets enter the 21st century

Bathroom breaks are getting a bit more luxurious as home appliance makers bring new features to the most basic of household fixtures.

Kohler President and COO David Kohler demonstrated the latest in toilet technology available to consumers on CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Thursday. The features include touchless, motion-activated flushing, deodorizers and nightlights that illuminate the bowl so you can't miss.

At the top end, Kohler's Numi offers a lid that lifts with the wave of a hand, a heated seat and streaming music player.
