A five-alarm fire nearly leveled a structure run by GE in Louisville, Kentucky, Friday morning, according to The Courier-Journal.
The fire at GE Appliance Park prompted local officials to tell residents within a half mile of the site to shelter indoors, the Courier reported.
The Louisville Zoo also closed because of the smoke, local news reported.
Tom Burch, one of the facility's retired workers, told the paper, "From what I can see, (the building) is totally destroyed."
The building has been evacuated, and no serious injuries have been reported, according to the Courier.
