Florida family finds $1M sunken Spanish treasure

Treasure hunters have found a trove of 300-year-old gold coins off the coast of Florida worth more than $1 million, NBC affiliate WESH reported.

The haul—which also included 40 feet of gold chain—was found in water just 15 feet deep.

The firm behind the find, Queen Jewels LLC, calls itself the largest salvage operation in the waters off Florida.
