Companies with the most remote workers

As technology allows more and more people to telecommute, interest and demand in working remotely is also rising. The team at job listings site FlexJobs looked at data from 30,000 companies between June 13 and July 13 to compile the top 25 companies offering the most telecommuting jobs. The positions are in various fields, from the more expected technology industry to health care and education, entertainment, travel and finance. The jobs are a mix of full time and part time, and may be fully or partially remote.

Here are the top 10 companies, each with a sampling of the telecommuting jobs they have listed. Other companies beyond the top 10 include Kaplan, Nielsen, ADP, and A Place for Mom.

The technology job placement company CyberCoders is based in Irvine, California. Among the 20 or so flexible jobs the company posted recenlty, they're hiring a chief information security officer, an Android developer and a senior Ruby on Rails developer.

The Palo Alto, California- based cloud and visualization software provider listed nearly 50 flexible jobs recenty. Among them are hybrid cloud service provider solutions architect, cloud application transformation engineer and consultant (PSO) end user computing.

The audit, inspection and property survey services company based in Overland Park, Kansas, has posted over 30 flexible jobs recently, including high value insurance consultant, commercial telephone inspector and premium auditor.

Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, the global biotech product development company has listed around 40 flexible job openings in the past month. They include sales representative, regional marketing manager and key account manager for laboratory automation products.

The Hartford, Connecticut-based health benefits company posted over 50 flexible jobs in the past month, including medical director, senior market compliance consultant and product consultant.

Mumbai-based Cactus Communications supplies its clients with English language editing, transcription, education and training services. About 30 jobs have been posted, and among the telecommuting positions are psychology and psychosocial health-care editors, cancer research editors and a Chinese to English translator.

Based in Troy, Michigan, Kelly Services provides workforce solutions—and some of those solutions are virtual. Kelly Services posted more than 200 flexible jobs in the past week. They include administrative assistant, sales/customer service representative and instructional designer and technical writer.

The global consulting and technology corporation IBM is based in Armonk, New York, but candidates answering to its remote job listings need not be. Of more than 200 flexible job postings in the past month, some of the telecommuting jobs include software developer, business architect and cyberdefense vulnerability intel analyst.

Computer technology company Dell is headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, and some of its work options include flextime, job sharing and compressed work weeks. Among nearly 100 positions being sought are remote such jobs as senior diversity sourcing specialist, digital transformation principal and customer solutions engineer.

Minneapolis-based UnitedHealth Group is a health benefits and services group that has listed over 80 flexible jobs in the past week, including senior marketing product database manager, senior clinical quality RN and mental health-care advocate.
